Found One of Alberta’s BEST Tropical Plant Stores! 🌿

Join me as I discover what might be Alberta’s best tropical plant store at The Big Greenhouse in Spruce Grove, just outside Edmonton! I came in expecting a decent selection, but I wasn’t prepared for room after room packed with rare aroids, philodendrons, monsteras, alocasias, begonias, aglaonemas, hoyas, caladiums, syngoniums, succulents, and so much more. Along the way, I compare prices, hunt for bargains, identify (and occasionally misidentify!) unusual plants, and share which ones I already own, which ones are on my wishlist, and which ones are simply too expensive to justify. Some plants I’ve only ever seen online finally appear in person, making this one of the most exciting plant shopping trips I’ve ever had. By the end of the visit, I narrow down my purchases, picking up a Philodendron Billietiae Black that I’ve never seen in person before, along with a replacement Philodendron Joepii after the one at home started struggling. I also debate several incredible specimens, including the stunning Green Congo Nuclear, before deciding to stretch my budget across multiple plants instead of bringing home just one expensive centerpiece.
