Starting a Boxwood Bonsai, May 2026
Last year I took this Boxwood tree and dug out of the ground at my Mother In-Laws house and plopped it in a pot. She was just going to get rid of it so I figured I would try and give it a 2nd chance as a bonsai. I figured now might be a good time to give it a prune and get rid of a lot of the dead/yellow leaves and dead/decaying bits that were inside the middle of the tree. That way more light could get inside there. Maybe I went a bit too hard on this one, but regardless it was a fun project to work on.
