Lushootseed Sounds Tutorial Lesson 1.1

The Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians Cultural Department is producing a series of tutorials on how to speak Lushootseed, the native language of the Stillaguamish Tribe. This video tutorial produced by the Tribal Historic Preservation Office and Sam Barr features the traditional Lushootseed language. By watching this tutorial, you can learn some of the basic sounds that are used to speak the language. The Lushootseed language is one of the Coast Salish languages and has been spoken by more than a dozen Puget Sound Salish tribes.
