Hello, this is Sayuri Awahara. I'm 9 months pregnant, finally entering my 35th week. Today, my friend Aya-chan is coming over to visit, so I made 6 dishes of authentic home-style Chinese food to treat her! ✨ My belly is heavy, and even standing in the kitchen is a struggle, but I persevered because I wanted to share delicious food with her 😂 While enjoying the meal, I'm asking Aya-chan, a veteran mom, all sorts of questions about my current anxieties (lol). Aya-chan is an incredibly powerful person who gave birth in Japan and then moved to Shanghai just 3 months later to start raising her child. Her "unconventional parenting philosophy" and encouraging words like "Everything will be alright!" were incredibly comforting to me. In particular, her story about her child becoming fluent in English by learning it on YouTube without being taught was a series of surprises for me, both as a language instructor and as a mother! I hope this video can be a little respite for expectant mothers and everyone struggling with childcare every day. [About our future activities] On this channel, we plan to document everything from our current pregnancy to the upcoming birth and our experiences raising twins.
