Alcove Structure & Insulation | 19 | Fiat Ducato 1985 Van Rebuild

In Episode 19 of Van Alchemy, we continue rebuilding the alcove of our 1985 Fiat Ducato Frankia campervan. We repair rust damage using epoxy filler, treat hard-to-reach areas to prevent further corrosion, and build up multiple layers of primer and paint. As we move forward with the structure, we test an initial idea using silicate panels — but after many attempts, it doesn’t work out. Instead, we switch to a metal frame, continuing the same approach used in the rear section of the van.
