Mixed Media Sketchbook | Lake District Inspiration

We’re officially three pages away from finishing this sketchbook, so today’s video is all about slowing down, enjoying the process, and locking in a few final memories before I move on to my big handmade fantasy sketchbook!!! For this spread, I’m painting from a photo I snapped in the Lake District whilst I was a passenger princess taking photos out the car window! While I paint, I chat through my new 3‑month plan: daily sketchbook practice, world building for Solis, storytelling studies, Twitch nights, and finally feeling like I’ve got the time and stability to create again. Lots of plotting… LOTS of plotting. We've got wet on wet watercolor satisfaction, jelly gouache, coloured pencil texture, Caesar interrupting at the worst possible moment (as always) and a tape peel that absolutely betrayed me. But hey, that’s sketchbook life. And yes… only two pages left before we dive into the chunky, coffee stained paper, 120‑page fantasy sketchbook I bound myself. Big projects incoming.
