Finnish heavy metal is born in woods. Watch the short film of Eicca Toppinen of Apocalyptica. The Finnish people’s DNA is the most diverse in all of Europe. Extremes are literally in our blood. In honour of Finland’s centenary celebration, we’ll extract Finnish people’s DNA from the extreme points of the country. The cello metal band Apocalyptica will then turn the genetic data into an original piece of music. The Symphony of Extremes premieres in late 2017.
