What is meant by enriching the mosque? Ustadz Adi Hidayat. The mosque is the best place on earth. The mosque is the house of Allah swt., a very noble and very important place for the worship activities of Muslims such as prayer, dhikr, bersholawat, and majlis ta'lim. That is why, Allah swt, loves the mosque and the people who walk to the mosque to worship. In QS. al-Tawbah: 18 Allah swt. said, which means; "Indeed, only those who enrich the mosques of Allah are those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and continue to establish prayer, pay zakat and do not fear (anyone) except Allah, then they are the people who are expected to be among the people who are guided". In addition, in the hadith mentioned the history of al-Tirmidhi from Abu Sa'id al-Khudry, that the Messenger of Allah saw. said, which means, "When you see someone who usually goes to the mosque, then witness that he truly believes, because indeed Allah swt. said; Verily, the only ones who prosper the mosques of Allah are those who believe in Allah and the Last Day". Both the verses of the Qur'an and the words of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. earlier, giving the understanding that going to the mosque to worship is a real proof of one's faith. It is not said that a person's faith is perfect if he never or rarely goes to the mosque to perform worship. Thus, what is meant in this verse by 'prospering the mosque' is not just the successful establishment and physical improvement of the mosque, but what is more fundamental is visiting the mosque to perform various worship activities for the sake of the prosperity of the mosque. In the Islamic Sharia for a Muslim, for example, it is highly recommended to pray in congregation in the mosque five times a day, even the reward of praying in congregation in the mosque has a multiple reward of up to twenty-seven degrees compared to praying alone at home. Added to this is the 'bonus' of the reward of walking towards the mosque, performing 'itikaf in it which is worth worshiping. Therefore, it is reasonable if the routine of visiting the mosque is one of the indications of a person's high level of faith. In today's technologically advanced era, it is very easy to gain access to the prosperity of the mosque. In fact, there is no reason for it to be difficult to go to the mosque, considering the many mosques built by Muslims for the convenience of worship.
