June 14th, 2026 - Third Sunday after Pentecost Follow Me: The COMPASSION of Jesus Our previous sermon series ended with a reminder of our God-given mission to go and share the Good News of salvation through Jesus. The June sermon series will spend four weeks describing in more detail what it looks like to carry out that mission as followers of Jesus. We will read different accounts of Jesus calling his disciples to follow him, each week highlighting a different important aspect of what Jesus expects of us as his disciples. Jesus knows that following him isn’t always easy, but he wants us to know that he is always with us. We will see the heart of Jesus for all his disciples throughout this series. The heart of Jesus always brings comfort and strength to all who follow him in faith. In this service, we will see the compassion of Jesus. He sees when we hurt. He knows why life is often hard. And he responds. He can’t help himself. When he sees his vulnerable flock hurting, he does something about it. He provides all that is needed.
