Bowling with MJ 🎳 ep 046 | Sports Shot League & Prep for my 1st USBC Open Championship in Reno NV

in this episode of Bowling with MJ, I talk about why I decided to join a 2026 Summer Sport Shot League to continue sharpening my game and challenging myself against tougher lane conditions. Looking back on my first full season, I finished with a 183 average, but I honestly feel like I left a lot of pins out there. I know I'm capable of shooting higher scores more consistently, and that's what this journey is all about. Lately, I've been putting in work on my spare game, learning how to better read lane transitions, and understanding different bowling ball shapes and angles to become a more complete player. i also share my excitement about an upcoming milestone: next week I'll be competing in my first-ever USBC Open Championships in Reno, Nevada, along with bowling the Bowlers Journal side event. It's another opportunity to gain experience, compete, and continue growing as a bowler. One thing I've learned throughout this journey is that while I'm definitely a competitor and want to win, I'm also learning to appreciate the process. I'm not afraid to lose if it means I'm improving. Every success, every mistake, and every challenge is helping me become a better bowler. Bowled with my Motiv Venom Shock, 900 Global Reality Check, Hammer Web ( pearl ) & Pyramid Spare Basketball. Will work in the Storm Phase 3 soon to see how it fits in my arsenal. i also wanted to give a shoutout to the Pro Shop at Lucky Strike Marietta. They've been a huge help with my bowling equipment upgrades, and the people and atmosphere at the center make it a great place to practice, compete, and continue learning. The journey continues, and I'm excited to see where it leads next. 🎳 Keep learning. 🎳 Keep competing. 🎳 Keep improving. #BowlingWithMJ #SportShot #USBCOpenChampionships #BowlersJournal #BowlingLife #RoadToImprovement #TournamentBowling
