Chambal Riverfront East Bank Tour | Kota’s New Tourist Attraction Kota is well known as India’s education hub, but now it has another major attraction—Chambal Riverfront! In this vlog, I’ll take you on a detailed tour of the east bank of this stunning riverfront. 📍 About Chambal Riverfront Located on the banks of the Chambal River, one of Rajasthan’s most prominent rivers, this 6 km-long riverfront has been redeveloped to boost tourism in Kota. It consists of two banks—East and West, each 3 km long. 📍 Entry & Tickets I entered through the Nayapura side gate on the East Bank. The entry ticket costs ₹200 and is valid for both sides. Keep in mind that only online payments are accepted—no cash transactions at the ticket counter. 📍 Exploring the East Bank If you prefer a relaxed tour, you can opt for a 45-minute E-cart ride. But since I love walking, I explored the entire stretch on foot. The East Bank starts from Nayapura Ghat and ends at Chambal Ghat, where you’ll find a massive statue of Goddess Chambal—the site of the daily evening aarti. Some of the highlights along the way include: ✅ Singh Ghat – Featuring lion sculptures facing the West Bank ✅ Utsav Ghat, Sahitya Ghat, Hadoti Ghat, Jantar Mantar Ghat, Vishwa Maitri Ghat & Fawwara Ghat ✅ Vishwa Maitri Ghat – Home to replicas of famous global landmarks ✅ Photography & Food – Every ghat offers great photo opportunities, and food stalls are available on both banks 📍 Best Time to Visit For a better experience, I recommend visiting in the evening. If you go around 4:00 PM, the heat can be intense, so plan accordingly!
