Why shoot film? (some say) Digital is better, easier and quicker…

Thanks for watching! I was asked by our local farmer to take photographs of the Donkeys and Goats for thier website. I didn’t even think about shooting film! Why would I? Animals are great subjects but they can be unpredictable. And you can’t exaclty get them doing what you want them to do! So digital was the sensible and cheaper option. With a “Spray and Pray” technique I got some fantastic photographs in between many bad ones. But I just had to go back and shot film! I chose the Olympus OM20, FP4 pushed to 400, and an Orange Filter. Which I later regretted. So I went back with a Nikon F6 and kept it all simple. Is digital easier than film? Of course it is. We know that! But us as film shooters love to be different and we shoot film maybe because it does have it’s challenges.
