CBS Radio Mystery Theater: The Old Ones are Hard to Kill (Classic old time radio mystery program)
Hello and welcome to Mystery Mondays! Today we're going to be listening to a classic mystery radio program, "The Old Ones are Hard to Kill" starring Agnes Moorhead. This was originally broadcast in 1976 by the CBS Radio Mystery Theater, and it's about a sweet little old lady who runs a boarding house and runs afoul of a murder. So sit back, relax and enjoy! And if you like it, don't forget to like and subscribe. While you're listening, I'll be crocheting an edging to a temperature blanket. I'll leave the pattern for the whole thing below. And if you want some other patterns to work with, I have some available for sale on Etsy and Ravelry here: Etsy: https://crochetingclassics.etsy.com And here's a promo code for 10% off: YARNYAY Ravelry: https://www.ravelry.com/designers/cro... I also have a shop on Teachers Pay Teachers if you're a teacher, here: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/s... The Temperature Blanket Pattern: For my blanket, I started with a chain of 153. (You can adjust the size to anything as long as you use an interval of 3 + 3 extra stitches at the end.) Row 1: [SC, CH. 2, SC] in 3rd CH from hook. Skip 2 SC, [SC, CH.2, SC] in next stitch. Repeat from * across until you have 2 stiches left, then HDC in final stitch. Row 2: Chain 3. Turn. 3 DC in chain 2 space. Repeat from * across. At the end of row, DC in turning chain. Switch to next color. Row 3: Chain 2. Turn. *[SC, CH. 2, SC] in middle DC. Skip 2 stitches. * Repeat from * across. HDC in turning chain. From here, you just repeat rows 2 and 3 until the blanket is your desired size. Then, I did SC in decreasing color temperatures around the edge of the blanket with three SC at the corners. In retrospect, I think using DC would be better. For the edging, once I had the last of the SC rounds done, I did this: Row 1: Chain 5, [DC, ch 2, DC, ch2, DC, ch 2, DC] into 3rd ch of ch 5, skip 2 st, 2 SC into previous row Row 2: Turn, [DC, CH 2, DC, CH 2, DC, CH 2, DC] into middle 2ch space, ch. 5 Row 3: Turn, [DC, CH 2, DC, CH 2, DC, CH 2, DC] into middle 2 ch space, skip 4 st, 2 sc into previous row. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 around the blanket, and when you get to the end, connect the two pieces with a ch 5 and a slip stitch. Then do 9 DC into each ch. 5 space around. #classicradiodrama #radio #vintageradio #goldenageofradio #crochet #crochetpattern #temperatureblanket #cbsradiomysterytheater #theoldonesarehardtokill #murdermystery #mystery #oldradioshows #oldradio
