BioTech 2.0 10 -12 September 2021, RSP Ostoja Natury, Warmińsko-Mazurski Agricultural Advisory Center with its seat in Olsztyn and the commune of Olsztynek invite you to BioTech 2.0. After the first event in the BioTech 2020 cycle, during which modern production processes used in modern organic farming were presented, as well as technological and scientific achievements used at various stages of cultivation, breeding, and processing processes, we can see that the knowledge of how to effectively lead and manage the production of high-quality food it is very desirable and difficult to obtain. Our goal is to constantly popularize and organize knowledge in the field of the latest technologies of the agricultural sector and high-quality products as well as regenerative agriculture in cooperation with leading specialists from Poland and Europe. The main BioTech 2.0 event took place on September 12 in Olsztynek near the city market - Kościuszki street next to @biohubbazar. The conference was divided into 3 blocks: Future of Farming (the future of agriculture) Regenerative Agriculture (regenerative agriculture) Villages of Smart Rural 21 (Presentations of the villages of the Smart Rural 21 finalists) This year, the formula of the event will be extended by 2 days of practical and theoretical workshops organized at the Ostoja Natury ecological farm on September 10 and 11. Day 1 - From farm to Fork / From farm to fork - organization of a short supply chain in a small and medium-sized Ecological Farm Day 2 - Regenerative Agriculture in the Making / Regenerative Agriculture in practice Lecture subject: Is hemp the future of organic construction? Most have the term "hemp" unambiguously and in a negative sense. However, it is worth fighting stereotypes and showing the full potential of this plant and the possibility of its use in industry, among others Building. The presentation will illustrate the general principles of organic construction. The range of hemp-based building materials will be discussed, along with the main properties of these materials and the features of hemp houses that distinguish them from houses made in traditional technologies. Dr. PRZEMYSŁAW BRZYSKI (Lublin University of Technology) A graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the Lublin University of Technology in the field of Construction. Currently a researcher and teacher at this Faculty. The area of ​​scientific activity is the use of industrial hemp in the technology of building materials. In 2018, he defended his doctoral dissertation on research on the lime-hemp composite. He also conducts training and workshops on building with the use of hemp. As a trainer, he participated in over a dozen house construction made of lime-hemp composite.
