Shared Responsibility

Over the past three years, the NYPD has been implementing a number of far-reaching changes in the way the department operates. We are dramatically improving our ability to fight crime on the patrol side, on the investigative side and, importantly, at the most local of levels. And as these changes take hold, we continue to make gains in every crime category – all across the city.
