Finally, the long awaited video is here! Below are some notes (contain movie spoilers!): @10:26 The plot is from "Citizen Kane", a 1940s American film. What's being described is mostly similar to the original movie, about Charles Kane's past and his rise to become a wealthy newspaper publisher. The central theme revolves around figuring out Kane's last words "Rosebud". @26:37 In the original 1950s Japanese film "Seven Samurai", the final scene shows the villagers celebrating while the surviving samurais reflect on how the battle was not their victory, but rather for the farmers. This is indicated by the mounds depicting each of the fallen samurai and the great loss they felt. The difference is that in the original, only the samurais mourned for each other while in Gensokyo, everyone payed respect for them. @27:43 Reimu played the role of Kikuchiyo, a farmer who decided to impersonate himself as a samurai. It was revealed that Kikuchiyo had a hatred for samurai, highlighting the distrust between farmers and samurai. Yet when he joined the team in defending the village, he grew close with the other fighters. In the end, he was one of the samurais who sacrificed themselves in battle, but was still honored as a warrior. @30:28 The background art style is a reference to the kids anime "Doraemon". Most of the end credit text are just afterword from the staff members, not sure if I should translate those... All BGM names are provided at the end of the video.
