How Danielle De Jesus is saving her neighborhood's memory

A few steps from Bushwick, on the corner of Myrtle and Cypress Avenues, a theater now bears the sign “Blink Fitness,”. It wasn't always like this. Before gentrification, hordes of teenagers would line up at the entrance to the building and wait their turn for the screening. Danielle De Jesus, painter and photographer, remembers it very well.
