In this second episode of the RECECHOS series, we travel to the province of Badajoz to experience first-hand how hunting deer in the rut is much more than just pulling the trigger. It is a passion that resonates strongly in the depths of the mountain and the spirit. It is an ancestral legacy that continues to vibrate in the heart of every hunter. It is a way of life that requires respect, wisdom and an intimate connection with the nature that surrounds us, vital for the proper management and conservation of our ecosystems. We have hunted side by side with Fernando Álvarez de Sotomayor, a hunter who is the living history of hunting and television in Spain and who cannot conceive of his passion without responsibility, respect and tradition. In addition, José Manuel Arburua has opened the doors of his home, the Pedro Mingo Valley, showing us that hunters like him represent the figure of the perfect owner-manager like no other.
