We are called to rejoice because our salvation is here. And indeed, our salvation is here, as John the Baptist preached. But do we recognize the Savior who comes for us? Recognizing the Lord and his salvation in our midst is a grace we should pray for this Advent, especially with confusing and depressing things going on around us which make it seem that He is “far” from us.
