Sinners 2025 | A Film About Conversion, Culture & Power

Ryan Coogler's Sinners is one of the most fascinating films of 2025. On the surface, it is a horror film filled with vampires, blood and violence. But beneath that horror lies a story about culture, identity, belonging, conversion and the people who decide what is "good" and what is "evil." In this video, I explore the symbolism behind the vampires, Sammie's music, the relationship between Smoke and Stack, and why Sinners stayed in my mind long after the credits rolled. What did you think of Sinners? Did you see the vampires as monsters, or as a metaphor for something much larger? Let me know in the comments. #Sinners #RyanCoogler #MovieReview #FilmAnalysis #VideoEssay #MichaelBJordan #Movies #FilmDiscussion 0:00 - Introduction 0:56 - Chapter 1: Setting up the World 1:46 - Chapter 2: The Twins 2:47 - Chapter 3: The Phily and The Opening night 5:25 - What the Vampires Truly Represent. 6:51 - Chapter 4: The Wise on both sides 8:27 - Conclusion
