What tarot deck would I recommend for ... These are questions which I get asked a LOT. So I made this video explaining why I don't believe there is such thing as a beginner tarot deck, plus some (ok, lots) of thoughts around why recommending a deck for someone else is trickier than it might seem. BUT I do finish it off with some things to keep in mind when you're choosing a deck. I find this helps me to make good tarot deck choices (although I don't think it's possible to be 100% certain about a deck until you use it). This video is dedicated to Rachel Pollack. Rachel's book 78 Degrees of Wisdom has had a HUGE influence on my understanding of tarot and connections with the cards. I am immensely grateful for the legacy leaves us as tarot readers and students of the occult. (Edited because Rachel is still Earthside at present 💝 she is at home receiving end of life care) Instead of making this as a talking head video, I did it while I was trimming my Gorgon's Tarot. I had already trimmed the sides fro the HUGE circle shape, but I decided to take it into a rectangle shape, rounded the corners, and edged it with red sharpie. It's turned out so well, I'm really happy with it.
