9 Dishes Under ¥990 at a Hidden Osaka Sake Bar (Solo Night)

Solo night at a hidden Osaka sake bar in Honmachi — every dish under ¥990, two amazing sake brands on tap, plus a milestone... I had the day off and ended up wandering through Honmachi — an area I rarely visit. Then I noticed a "sugidama" cedar ball hanging outside a small shop. That's the universal sign of a Japanese sake bar, so of course I had to check it out. Inside, every dish on the menu was under ¥990, and the sake selection was incredible. I tried "AKABU" — a young, fresh sake from Akabu Brewery in Morioka, Iwate — and "Nabeshima," a globally acclaimed brand from Fukuchiyo Brewery in Saga. Standout dishes: 🍴 Strawberry & "hassaku" citrus "shiraae" — ¥590 🍴 "Sawara" salt-seared mackerel — ¥990 🍴 Grilled dried squid with liver — ¥890 🍴 "Karasumi" mochi with seaweed — ¥490 🍴 "Renkon" lotus root dumpling, crab sauce — ¥690 I also hit 1,000 subscribers during this visit — thank you all for watching! If you're looking for a real local sake bar in Osaka (no tourists), Honmachi is worth a wander. 📍 カジノバ (Cajinova) — Honmachi, Osaka 🗺️ Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/NBi3Wz1yYg3p5...
