A New Era for Pathuyith: Chairman Machar Ayuen Kuot Sworn In! Following the highly anticipated election on 27th December 2024, the Pathuyith Community gathered once more on 28th December for the official swearing-in ceremony of their newly elected Global Chairman, Machar Ayuen Kuot. The day was more than just a formal transition of leadership—it was a platform for the community to voice their hopes and concerns. Key issues such as resettlement, farming, and the relocation of cattle to Pathuyith Village dominated the discussions. Many speakers passionately emphasised how returning home would improve living standards, restore normalcy, and promote peaceful coexistence. After powerful speeches from various community sections and outgoing leaders, IEC Chairman Daniel Magot Deng Magot officially passed the mantle to Chairman Machar Ayuen Kuot. The event was further honoured by remarks from Pathuyith Head-Chief Kuol Akuei Mamuor, and the day concluded with a blessing from Rev. Philip Chol Nhial.
