As of September 24, 2021, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) launched service improvements on several train routes, including the Argo Bromo Anggrek, Argo Wilis, Argo Dwipangga, Argo Parahyangan, Taksaka, and of course, the Argo Lawu, which I will review in this video. These service improvements encompass three main points: 1. FASTER, meaning increased speed and efficiency of travel time on these trains. The Argo Lawu, which serves the Solo Balapan-Gambir round-trip route, now takes just 7 hours. This is because on some stretches of the road, the Argo Lawu is permitted to travel at speeds of up to 120 km/h. This also includes minimizing the number of stops, now serving only four stations: Klaten, Yogyakarta, Purwokerto, and Cirebon. 2. EXCELLENT SERVICE, realized by the provision of an on-train chef. The chef will serve fresh food orders, cooked live on the restaurant train, with a variety of menu options. 3. BETTER, realized through free on-train Wi-Fi, allows passengers to access the internet throughout their journey, whether for social media or for study or work. In addition to the three points above, one noticeable difference is that the restrooms on the Argo Lawu train are now separate for male and female passengers.
