Hurricane Dorian struck the northernmost Bahamas yesterday as a Category 5, and has remained very slow moving into this morning along the coast of Grand Bahama. Total destruction is likely anywhere near the landfall area in the Bahamas. The storm is beginning to stall and will then turn towards the north and sweep across the United States east coast, delivering a severe storm surge, heavy rains, and potentially destructive hurricane force winds from West Palm Beach to the Outer Banks of North Carolina by late this week.
