You will still be able to use your portaband as a handheld unit & in just a few seconds, you can convert it into a standalone band saw & use your hands to handle the material you are cutting, instead of holding onto the saw itself. No modifications are needed to the band saw itself, and it attaches to the SWAG V4.0 table using gravity & a thumb wheel bolt that feeds through the adjustable shoe. The table is very sturdy & has no flex or wobble when it is being used. I was able to make very precise cuts with almost no effort. If you had a sliding miter gauge, you could make exact cuts either straight or at an angle with no problems.
