The Waldorf Iridium is arguably the most powerful digital synthesizer. Essentially, it's a keyboardless version of the flagship Waldorf Quantum. In other videos, I'll explore its individual features, and we'll get to play around with all its capabilities. Manufacturer's specifications: 16-voice polyphony, two-part multitimbrality, and an engine fully replicated and compatible with Waldorf Quantum. 3 oscillators in the following modes: Wavetable, Waveform (VA), Particle (Sampling and granular synthesis), Resonator, Kernels (Up to 6 operators linked for FM synthesis). 3 stereo filters per voice. True stereo path. Dual Digital Filter: Two filters with independent 12/24dB LP/HP/BP modes in any combination: Nave, Largo, PPG, Quantum, and StateVariable models. Digital Former: Filter models from Waldorf Nave, Largo, and PPG in HP/LP/BP/Notch modes, Comb filter, Bitcrusher, Drive, RingMod, StateVariable mode, and an analyzer in the filter window. Modulators: 6 envelopes, 6 LFOs, Complex Modulator (LFO/envelope combination with custom shape) Modulation Matrix: 40 slots, with one additional control per slot. Pads: 4x4 matrix of RGB-backlit pads that can be assigned notes, chords, sequences, and arpeggios.
