KOMPAS.TV - Thousands of mourners have begun filling the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah Mosque in Tehran, Iran. They have come to pay their final respects to the late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iranians have begun filling the corners of Tehran ahead of the official funeral ceremony for Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The Tehran government has prepared accommodation facilities in mosques, stadiums, city parks, and even temporary shelters for the mourners. The procession to honor the late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, began on July 4 at the Imam Khomeini Mosque in Tehran and will last for two days. The funeral procession will then take place in Tehran on July 6 before moving to the Holy City of Qom on July 7. The final procession and burial are scheduled to take place at the Imam Reza mausoleum in Mashhad on July 9. Tehran Governor Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian stated that all preparations for the final ceremony to honor the late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, have been completed.
