As a result of the collision, the bus was turned and pushed into the area of ​​the local train stop. Only about 5 seconds after the accident happened I started with the documentation of the incident. Numerous passers-by ran to the scene of the accident, but were only able to help a 21-year-old pedestrian who was standing at the traffic lights, was hit by the bus and seriously injured. Since some passers-by assumed that people would be trapped in the vehicles, or even that there was a person under the bus, I instructed my safety and security specialist to call the fire brigade and tell them that a person could be trapped. At 9:20 p.m. she was alerted to the traffic accident with a reported trapped person. Shortly afterwards, I investigated the situation at the scene of the accident, found that no one was trapped and instructed the manager of the professional fire brigade on arrival. Then mission drives were filmed and the mission documented from two perspectives. Numerous passers-by, most of whom thought they could help, had now gathered at the accident site and in some cases made the rescue work more difficult. Both drivers were injured in the collision. Four occupants in the tram were injured in the accident, as was one passenger in the bus. After initial treatment by the fire brigade and rescue service, the patients were transported to the surrounding hospitals for further treatment. Those affected were looked after by emergency chaplains. Safety measures were carried out at the scene of the incident, leaking operating materials were scattered and picked up and illuminated by the Holzlar fire extinguisher unit to record the accident. Both the bus and the tram were seized. Although the towing service Müller does not have a mandate to secure it, the police hired it because all other towing companies canceled due to the drop in prices, which resulted in massive delays and the bus was only towed after 2:00 a.m. In addition to the two vehicles, a traffic light mast, a street lamp and parts of the train stop on Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz were also damaged in the accident. The property damage amounts to around 250,000 euros. The site was cordoned off by the police until about 6:00 a.m. during the rescue, accident recording, recovery and repair work. Further investigations into the course of the accident are being carried out at Verkehrskommissariat 1 of the Bonn police. During the accident recording work, other press representatives had to be asked to leave the scene several times while I was documenting from outside.
