Police find a funeral flower and a cryptic condolence card in the girl's room with a disturbing message: "Don't say anything, no one will believe you anyway." René, a social worker friend who has acted as a father figure to the orphaned sisters for years, is brought in to help with the search and later turns out to be the perpetrator. Investigators find Svenja's cell phone in the city forest, where the two sisters own an inherited cabin, and apprehend the perpetrator there during an attempted sexual assault and threats. The sister is reunited with Svenja, who is taken into police custody unharmed.
