Darjeeling Tourist Places | Darjeeling Vlog | Bangla Vlog | DARJEELING: Lying amidst the slopes of the Lesser Himalayas and blanketed by emerald green plantations of tea, Darjeeling is a picturesque town in the Indian state of West Bengal. The majestic Kanchenjunga (also known as Kangchenjunga) towers over this beautiful town, which is the third highest mountain in the world. Popularly known as the ' Queen of the Hills' ,Darjeeling is a favoured tourist destination, noted for its scenic beauty, ancient forests, quaint houses , friendly peopleand the mountain panorama that it provides. MAJOR ATTRACTIONS: JAPANESE TEMPLE AND PEACE PAGODA: Having a gleaming white structure, Peace Pagoda is a two-storey building that was constructed in 1972. This attraction in Darjeeling showcases four statues of Lord Buddha glistened with gold polish and eight sandstone carvings. During drumming prayers, visitors can immerse in the rituals by taking part in hand drum sessions. A symbol of spirituality, one can experience surreal beauty from its premises. The view of the Kanchenjunga peak and the surrounding hills and valleys look simply mesmerizing. BATASIA LOOP: Located 5km from Darjeeling Town and just below Ghoom, Batasia Loopis a loop or a spiral of a narrow gauge railway track where the Toy Train negotiates a sudden sharp descent from Ghoom. A war memorial in honour of Gorkha soldiers of Darjeeling is also established in the center of this garden. It comprises a large raised platform which is oval in shape having 37-foot length and 24-foot breadth. A granite cenotaph and a bronze statue of a Gorkha soldier stand in the middle of it. ROCK GARDEN: The Rock Garden (also known as Barbotey Rock Garden) at Chunnu Summer Falls and Ganga Maya Park are recently added tourist attractions in the hilly town of Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal, India. It is a showpiece meant to lure people to Darjeeling after political agitations disrupted tourism in the 1980s. There is another rock garden in Darjeeling known as Sir John Anderson Rock Garden, which is part of Lloyd's Botanical Garden.
