The third AEON shopping mall in Indonesia features elevators not from OTIS or any Japanese brand, but rather thyssenkrupp which is a bit unusual for an AEON mall. Yes, thyssenkrupp, and a total of nine public elevators are found here. Coincidentally this video was published just two days after TKE has announced they will merge with KONE to form a new elevator company (29 April 2026), which has now becoming a "hot topic" among many elevator enthusiasts worldwide. I have mixed opinion about this but I'm really curious what will happen when the merger has completed in around 2027. Like many typical AEON shopping malls elsewhere, these elevators are of high capacity type and feature custom analog landing floor indicators, extra COP for wheelchair user, center opening telescopic doors and plain interior design. Fixtures are standard by thyssenkrupp, but instead of the usual MT 42 buttons all elevators are fitted with STEP Module Classic buttons which are rare for new thyssenkrupp installs. Another thing worth to note is that some elevators have upholstered cushion pad installed on the rear wall, probably for car wall protection and convenience of customers. There is also a single glass elevator in the outdoor area (Canal Walk) which was really busy so parts of the video have been cut out. It is the only one with two entrances.
