Archaeologist Cynthia Shelmerdine discusses the perfume industry at ancient Pylos and examines the role of scent in Late Bronze Age Greece. Perfumer Michael Nordstrand then describes his recreation of a 3,000-year-old perfume based on the ancient evidence, alongside a modern interpretation.
