#jimbairdadventurer #outdoors #trekking Tori Gets Injured on the Trail, Gros Morne Trek & Saying Bye to Newfoundland Eastbound Overland E12 Green Gardens trail at Gros Morne is a long downhill trail that meets a spectacular stretch of coastline. On this Canada outdoors survival trek, we'd enjoy off-grid life hiking with kids, beginning the trek after camping in our off-road teardrop overlanding trailer. Tori’s knee started hurting as it was still sore from the Gros Morne Mountain climb. We were well into the hike when the pain started and we considered turning back but Tori decided to tough it out and I carved her a walking stick. After passing a waterfall we made it to the coast and it was more spectacular than we’d expected. The walk back up was challenging physically but much easier on Tori’s knee. After the hike, we left Gros Morne and drove to Port Aux Basques where we spend a night in a campground before catching the ferry over to North Sidney Nova Scotia. Before our final drive home, we decided to drive the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island before the final drive home. What an adventure!
