Anil Bokil answers tough questions on Demonetization [PART 1/2]

Famous Economist Anil Bokil faces a panel of challenging questions and criticism over the Demonetization move implemented by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi in December 2016. At an event he said that Demonetization is the cure to the pain caused by corruption across the economical, socio-political and industrial spectrum of India. The sudden announcement of Demonetization is one of the most bold moves witnessed in the history of Indian Economy. It was aimed to flush out the black money (counterfeit and unaccounted cash) out of the system and disarming illegal and terrorist activities. Arthakranti, a politically neutral organisation that proposes a scientific approach designed to transform the current Indian socio-economic scenario, worked behind the scenes to convince Mr. Modi of this master plan. However, the Modi Government also faced criticism and the move was called unfair and poorly planned. Mr. Anil Bokil, who founded 'Arthakranti' (meaning, 'the Economic Revolution'), first addressed the crowd on the principles and advantages of Demonetization. The address was followed by a discourse between Mr. Bokil and the panelists.
