End of point and shoot compact pocket cameras

Photography camera selections are becoming fewer, especially point and shoot compact pocket cameras and travel cameras for casual street photography, hiking, travel and family pictures. Those cute little lightweight pocket cameras are becoming more rare and expensive as camera companies make less and less. In fact, word is this is the end of point and shoot cameras because of cell phones. But smart phones don't have dedicated buttons for f-stop aperture, ISO, shutter speed and white balance. They don't have the same charm, zoom lenses, big glass, and fun factor of an actual camera. Cell phones overheat faster too when shooting video and the codecs dont work well in computer editing programs. Anyway, get what you can while you can while there are still some out there, even if just for the fun factor!
