TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM – The identities and faces of four men who went viral after allegedly assaulting a railway crossing guard in Garut, West Java, have finally been revealed. The perpetrators, who had previously attracted public attention and were also sought by West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, have now been arrested by the Garut Police along with the Mobile Brigade Unit of the West Java Regional Police's Criminal Investigation Directorate. Previously, Dedi Mulyadi had reported that only one perpetrator had been apprehended. However, according to a post on the Garut Police's official Instagram account, a total of four perpetrators have been arrested. In a video uploaded by the Garut Police, the perpetrators are seen getting out of a black car, handcuffed, before being taken to an interrogation room. The four perpetrators, identified as IS (44), AW (35), and NK (59), are residents of Leles District, Garut Regency, and DAM (31), a resident of Babakan Ciparay District, Bandung City. Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, AKP Herman Saputra, stated that the perpetrators were arrested while attempting to flee in several different locations, from Garut to Babakan Ciparay District, Bandung City, on Tuesday evening (July 14, 2026). The arrests were made with the assistance of the West Java Regional Police's Mobile Brigade (Resmob) Directorate of General Crimes. The four perpetrators are currently undergoing intensive questioning at Garut Police Headquarters. In addition to apprehending the perpetrators, police also confiscated several pieces of evidence, including two motorcycles, clothing, and footwear allegedly used during the incident. The assault occurred in Leuwigoong District, Garut Regency, West Java, on Sunday (July 12, 2026). The incident began when a PT KAI officer named Andika closed a crossing barrier to secure the passage of the Serayu train. After the crossing barrier was closed, a motorcyclist allegedly continued to drive through. After receiving a warning from the officer, the driver allegedly returned to the guard post with three other men. Upon arrival at the scene, they allegedly assaulted the officer on duty before fleeing. Police are still investigating the roles of each perpetrator and completing the investigation.
