This song famous as BGM of an athletic meet is the part of the overture of the operetta (musical) and the original title "hellish Orpheus" premiered in Paris in 1858. "Hellish Orpheus" is the parody work which made the Greek mythology of honest conjugal love "Orpheus and EURIDIKE" perfect noisily in OCHARAKE. It's premiered in Meiji or the Taisho Era in Japan, and there is deep-rooted popularity from the old days. Because the last part of overture was just used in the gallop called off (dance music of very fast double time or design of a run of a horse) as BGM of French Kankan (dance), this part was in particular famously, and I came to do independence and be played.
