It's time to build, Architect! Welcome to Sunleaf Grove, where a community of animal residents work paw-in-paw/fin/hoof/claw to build a home in harmony with nature – and they need your help! As a Grove Architect, you’ll plan projects, organize supply lines, and transform timber into beautiful, sustainable structures. Gather fallen wood from the forest floor, float it downstream, shape it into sturdy planks, and raise buildings of every size – from snug burrows to towering treetop apartments. Collect, craft, build: it's a peaceful, puzzle-y cycle! Oakspire is a cozy tableau-building game where you'll carefully select Project Cards that represent different stages of wood crafting. These cards can be used in a multitude of ways: Turn them into Restored Wood to fuel your production chain, play them as Company Actions to move, process, or upgrade your resources on supply lines, or blueprint them to start working on a new building! With an emphasis on an environmentally friendly approach, you'll repurpose and upgrade salvaged wood to fulfil contracts and expand your workshops. Each completed project increases your crafting capabilities, and as the game progresses, so does our woodland city, as cozy cafés and riverside markets transform it into a bustling metropolis of nature. But you can't just focus on your own projects! When community actions are triggered each round, they may give you a helpful boost or nudge your plans in an unexpected direction - so keep an eye on the Community Board! The race is on to be the first to build a certain number of projects for the city, securing their reputation as the best architect and carpenter in the city. Maybe you'll even get a statue made of you in the city centre... BGG Link - https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/4... For one reason or another these are just shy of perfect. Whether it's mechanics, length, brain burn whatever. 4.0 - This is where a game becomes recommended. Now I may or may not be in the mood, or even own it, especially considering other games. But a 4 is where we cross from good to great.3.5 - Really enjoyed, don't love it, will often lose out to better games, but there's a part of me that wants to own it/play it more. 3.0 - A good game, I enjoy playing it. But also if I never play it again I'm not losing any sleep over that. 2.5 - Wasn't the biggest fan. Wasn't the worst, but didn't feel like the best use of time. Would prefer not to play again but am willing to given the right circumstances. 2.0 - A game I don't want to play again. I'm not saying it isn't good, I'm saying I don't want to play it again regardless of circumstance. 1.5 - I did not like this game, do not want to play it, and think it's a fairly flawed game. 1.0 - I can't imagine rating a game this poorly ever. It would take something so abysmal I probably didn't get to even play it.
