Developing a Research Question (EGGA 2026)

The Essential Guide to Grant Applications (EGGA) masterclass ran from 19th to 21st April 2026. EGGA is a workshop for anyone thinking of applying for research funding – either from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) or from other open, competitive, peer reviewed sources of funding. The three-day masterclass focuses on how to write an application that will appeal to a funding panel. It provides the tools needed to write a funding application that is strong from a methodological point of view, reads well and presents a convincing case for funding. EGGA comprised a series of presentations, panel discussions, Q&A sessions and written exercises. The presentations were recorded and are available on YouTube. EGGA is hosted by the NIHR Research Support Service hub delivered by the University of Southampton & Partners: https://www.nihr.ac.uk/support-and-se...
