ICC Witness Against Ruto Withdraws Evidence
A prosecution witness crucial to the International Criminal Court's case against deputy president elect William Ruto has withdrawn his evidence saying he had been induced into stating that leaders from the Kalenjin community planned the post polls violence. Former PNU activist Samuel Kimeli Kosgei, a father of three from Kipkaren in Nandi County has through his lawyers written to the Office of the Prosecutor, International Criminal Court in The Hague giving details why he opted to withdraw all his evidence, even alleging that ICC officials trained him and other witnesses on how to present their evidence against the Kenyan suspects. The ICC has denied inducing the witnesses.
