Starlight Safari - A nighttime experience at the Animal Kingdom Lodge

We have been trying to do the starlight Safari for quite some time now, and the day has finally arrived! We first heard about this experience while staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and thought it might be a fun thing to do while we were there, but it was not available during our stay. The next time we booked a room there, we checked maybe 45 days in advance and still couldn't find anything. Finally, we just decided to look the full 60 days out and pick a date that was available and book it! The event itself is pretty straightforward – this is a safari tour through the savanna that surrounds the buildings at Animal Kingdom Lodge at night.  The part we were excited about was getting a night vision device to check out the animals in the dark… And boy is it dark out there! Since we made a special trip over to the lodge, we started our evening with some food at the Sanaa lounge. Then we met our group at the front of Kidani Village and we were off for a fun evening!
