Baja (MEXICO) Vanlife - La Ventana & El Sargento // La Paz B.C.S.
Welcome to Season 4! Our Baja Mexico #Vanlife Series. We are Wiley & Dre and in this series we take our Van, Uhuru, and our Siberian Husky, Maisha international to Baja, Mexico. This season we wanted to explore some uncharted territory in our van and cross international borders for the first time! Welcome back! In today's episode we take you to La Ventana and El Sargento to show you all the cool things that this area has to offer that isn't wind sports related. After spending over a month here was can honestly say that this is our favorite spot in Baja! There is so much to do here! One of my favorite things to do is take out the paddle board right from the campground. The water is so clear you can see the reef and fish from the board and then if you get too hot you can always take a dip or go snorkeling. There isn't a ton of places in Baja that have great mountain biking trails so when we found out that La Ventana had well built established trails we were excited. As an added bonus we could bike from the van to the trailhead. The trails on the north end of town in El Sargento have a nice gentle climb up followed by some technical, flowy, and sandy descent depending on which trails you take down. If your looking for less elevation and mostly flow head to the south end of town and check out the network of trails that weave in and out of the cordon cacti. If you are going to visit Agua Caliente be mindful of the tide. The thermal water comes up from the surface right next to the ocean so the pools farther back from the ocean are the hottest and as you go closer to the ocean they get colder because the pools mix with the ocean water as the tide rises. So there is pretty much a pool for anyone's preference. If you don't mind getting up early and you are looking for something to do on the water and enjoy watching marine wildlife then we recommend taking a boat tour. We booked our tour through Frida Expeditions and they are located right in La Ventana. This tour was about 6 hours long and we were blown away by the amount of marine life we found right in the bay including humpback whales, mobula rays, dolphins, sea loins, marlin, and if you are lucky ocra. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of town we wanted to mention that Playa Punta Arena and Bahia de Los Muertos are worth visiting. #bajamexico #vanlife #laventana Instagram / suits2sandals Maisha's Instagram / maisha.adve. .
