Vampire: the Masquerade - solo RP - Setite tempter shares insights into the Revelation of Desire
In this episode we're taking on the role of an initiate/pupil on the Path of Typhon, as we try to answer our mentor's question and inevitably listen to his insights on the Revelation of Desire, his favorite Revelation. We're in a glass booth, on the highest floor of one of our mentor's clubs, "Plot-twist", pleasantly sinking into the silky tapestry of restored antique furniture, while mortals downstairs are getting drunker and drunker, to the music of some local band. Our mentor says desire is mimetic, born out of the contemplation of someone else who is desiring, and who designates the object of desire as desirable. Does that mean no one has their own desires? Does this mean we simply become infected with the desires of people around us, claiming them as our own when we blindly imitate a certain model? If this is true, then we are in the midst of a contagion, no, a collectively reinforced prison of desire, that only a select few escape from... by following the example of Set, of course. Enjoy?
