Fixing LOOSE solar MC4 connectors - adjust metal contacts for better fit - plus bonus content!

Hi all, a quick video about how I have been fixing my solar MC-4 connectors and plugs with loose fit for years. It's not exactly professional but it works, and costs nothing. PLUS there is bonus content and updates near the end of the video about projects I am working on. Loose fitting MC4 connectors may cause arcing and deterioration of connectors. High resistance connections may heat up and cause problems later. Even with small solar panels it's probably a good idea to repair loose fitting connections. The mass produced crimped metal contacts inside MC4 connectors / plugs come from different sources and batches, and often do not fit properly at all. If your solar MC4 connections are loose, using basic hand tools you can do a hasty field repair of both positive and negative connectors. It's probably best to replace the entire MC-4 connector though. Hope you enjoy the video - thanks for watching and see you next time.
