Pakistan Kidney & Liver Transplant Institute (PKLI) was baby of previous govt of Nawaz Sharif. Supposed to have been a world class welfare and research project the PKLI was taken over from Dr Saeed Akhtar by the new Govt of Imran Khan under orders from controversial Chief Justice Saqib Nisar whose brother was allegedly part of a doctors lobby against the institute’s free kidney treatment of the poor citizens.
