CAT D4 and Dowdeswell DP1

Roger Dowdeswll designed a 3 point linkage for his Cat Tractor back in the late 1960’s which he licenced to Turner & Co for manufacture. He then went on to design the DP1 mounted crawler plough in 1969/70. It was the first ever off-set mounted plough made for crawler tractors. This example is working on a 1977 Cat D4 and the 3 point linkage was designed and built by the Westload division of Leverton & Co to compete with the Dowdeswell linkage from Turner.
