Windrush 75 - The Influence of Music (18/20)
2023 marks the 75th anniversary of when HMT Empire Windrush docked at Tilbury on 22 June 1948, bringing one of the first large groups of West Indian immigrants to the UK. A significant number of West Indians made their way from London to live and work in Northampton. This digital exhibition tells the story of those who arrived in the 1950s and later. Short 18/20 Shown at Northampton Museum and Art gallery between 23rd June and 13th August 2023, subtitled.
