Santa Cruz Blur & Juliana Wilder | Lightweight XC & Downcountry Bikes!

Big news as Santa Cruz and Juliana have just released a series of new cross country bikes called the Blur and Wilder! The Santa Cruz Blur XC is their all-out cross country race bike, with one 100mm of travel at the front and back. You may have spotted this is the bike at the world cups. The Blur TR and Juliana WiIder have one 115mm of travel at the back and a 120mm fork at the front. This, as you might gather, kinda defines it as a downcountry bike, though they themselves don’t really refer to it as such. They say it’s an XC bike which helps you push your limits a bit more, have some adventures with and i guess might be a bit more pushed towards marathon racing too. They all share the same frame, however the TR gets a longer stroke shock than the XC to give that extra travel, as well as the longer fork, and that plays out in the bike’s geometry, which I’ll touch on later. The Wilder’s size range is smaller, but again uses the same frame but with different paint and a few different spec options.
