Ticino is home to some of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland. But to get there in winter, you first have to go through the Gotthard tunnel if you're coming from the north of Switzerland. From Airolo, you then take the motorway down to the Ascona-Locarno region. There are two well-known valleys there: the Verzasca Valley and the Maggia Valley. Another well-known valley branches off at Maggiatal: the Maggiatal. We visit all these beautiful places to bring you a touch of spring - or rather winter?
